Wisconsin Trip #6: Big Browns and Beautiful Brookies
Spring in Wisconsin so far has been as follows…. Saturday: cold and windy, Sunday: sunny and less windy. Above is me and my big brown on Saturday. See him close up below:
Using the hand measurement method, he was about 17 inches. Not my biggest ever, but the fish of the day. I got Chef to run from where he was fishing downstream to meet me and take the photos. Karma smiled on him later, he caught a nice brown that afternoon:
Sunday was the real gem, beautiful blue skies and temps in the 60s. Not to mention, my favorite, brookies on a dry fly…
Hopefully in the next pictures I won’t be wearing the Head Sock and the “serious” jacket.
Flies: Gold Ribbed Hare’s Ear, Copper John, AP Nymph, Elk Hair Caddis
